Born in Port Colborne, Ontario on June 9, 1970, Greg first got his start in the golf industry at the age of 10 by caddying on weekends and selling used golf balls through the fence of the third tee box not far from his home. Greg moved west to the Okanagan with his family in the early eighties and not long after graduating from high school, he rediscovered his passion for the game of golf and joined the maintenance staff at the Kelowna Golf & Country Club. In 1994, Greg enrolled in the 4 year Horticulture Apprenticeship program being offered through Kwantlen University College. After beginning his apprenticeship with Al Feenstra and completing it under Craig Lewis at the KG&CC in early 1998, Greg joined the Shannon Lake Golf Club as Assistant Superintendent and later made a move to Priddis, Alberta to gain experience with James Beebe by preparing the Priddis Greens Golf & CC for the 1999 du Maurier Classic, one of four majors on the LPGA Tour. After attending Olds College in 1999, Greg returned to Kelowna as the Superintendent of the Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club. In 2004, Greg attended the Winter School Turf Program at UMASS and moved to Williams Lake where he is currently the Golf Course Superintendent of the Williams Lake Golf & Tennis Club as well as the Golf Operations Manager of the newly constructed Chief William Eagle Ridge Golf Club. In addition to his commitment as a BCGSA director, Greg is also the Northern Region President and is lovingly supported by his wife Darlene and four teenage children. | |||||

| Cranbrook, B.C. V1C 1E2 Kevin was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta in 1964. His career in the golf industry started at Willow Park Golf & Country Club in 1984, where he worked on the maintenance crew until 1990. In 1992 he obtained a Criminology, Law Enforcement Diploma from Mount Royal College - and worked for one year with the Calgary Police Service. Kevin eventually made his way back to the greener pastures of the golf course. He worked as a foreman with the Calgary Golf & Country Club in 1992 and took advantage of the opportunity to attend the University of Guelph from 1993-1995, where he received a Diploma in Horticulture/Turf Management. He continued on with Calgary Golf & Country Club until 1997. Kevin joined the Banff Springs Golf & Country Club as Assistant Superintendent in 1997. He thoroughly enjoyed the mountain lifestyle of the Canadian Rockies and the opportunity, of course, to work for the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel & Resort. He met his wife (while vacationing in Mexico) and moved back to Calgary to pursue an opportunity at Heritage Pointe Golf & Country Club (and his relationship of course) as Second Assistant Superintendent for one year. He returned to Willow Park Golf & Country Club in 1998 where he spent the next five years as Assistant Superintendent. In 2003, he worked as Superintendent at the Claresholm Golf Club. Kevin and his young family moved to Cranbrook, BC, where he has been the Superintendent at the Cranbrook Golf Club since 2004. |

Davin was born in Sussex, New Brunswick in 1974. His employment in the turf maintenance field began in 1992 at the Sussex Golf and Curling Club, Sussex, New Brunswick. During his 5 year tenure under Bill Armstrong, Bernie Tabor, and Geoff Fuller, his interest in turf maintenance began to grow and led him to the 'slightly' longer golf season of the Okanagan Valley, BC Upon moving to Vernon, BC, Davin met and came to work for Geordie Wakutz at the Hillview Golf Club. Realizing that the golf course had more influence on him than just a place to work to pay the bills, Davin enrolled in the Turf Management program at Fairview College, AB in the fall of 1999. After graduating in April 2001, Davin returned to his assistant superintendent's position at Hillview Golf Club under the guidance of former superintendent Geordie Wakutz, and owner Jim Atmore. Currently, Davin is employed at Hillview Golf Club in Vernon, coming into his fourth year as the superintendent, and has just assumed the president's post for the Interior chapter of the BCGSA. |
