President's Message - December, 2020
As we move into a winter that will be different in so many ways, I can't help but look forward to 2021 in a positive way and know that better days are ahead. Although we are a long way to getting back to what we consider normal, I'm confident as an industry that we will be more prepared than ever to offer our employers, staff, and our customers a safe and accessible environment to come to each and every day.
Golf has been a great success story in a year where many individuals, and industries struggled immensely. It's made me appreciate what we do for a living more than ever. So as we move into the holiday season, remember to appreciate the industry we're in, and to enjoy some extra family time!
With a successful "Professional Development Days" behind us, and $36,000 raised for M.S through our silent Auction, we at the BCGSA are already looking ahead to next year to ways to offer our membership more educational opportunities throughout the year, and give you the best value for your membership we possibly can. 2021 will look similar to this year with education offered through the online platform.
As I move into the role of President, I'd like to thank Jamie Robb as he moves into role of Past President. Jamie did a great job leading us through a challenging year. "Thank You" to Paul Robertson for his years of service to our associations. His voice was a big part of our Board, but I know he will always be there for our industry when we need him. The Board welcomed Dennis Luick as he moves into the role of Lower Mainland representative.
Last but not least, thank you to Ginny Tromp at our BCGSA office and all the great work she does for our association. Ginny will be taking some time off, so just a reminder that the BCGSA office will be closed from December 18th to January 4th.
Have a great Holiday Season, and we'll see you in 2021.
