 Northview Golf and Country Club - Assistant Superintendent

   

Northview is a 36-hole public golf course facility consisting of two Arnold Palmer designed courses, The Ridge and The Canal, plus a large practice area consisting of natural grass tee deck as well as covered and heated stalls. The club has hosted many prestigious corporate tournaments throughout the years, as well as regular, year-round, play due to our exceptional playing conditions offered throughout the year. Recent upgrades include a new Employee Centre for the Turf Department (2016) and New Concrete Cart Paths on the Ridge Course (2017).

The Northview Turf Department is currently hiring an Assistant Superintendent.

The Successful Applicant Will:

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years formal education, or degree or diploma in turf management.
  • Approach responsibilities in an organized and energetic manner.
  • Possess a valid British Columbia Pesticide Licence or be willing to obtain.
  • Knowledge of Irrigation Central Control and Pump Stations.

The Assistant Superintendent is Responsible For:

  • Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent on daily conditions on the golf course.
  • Training new employees.
  • Pesticide and Fertilizer applications; liquid and granular.
  • Setting up night irrigation.
  • Supervising employees and evaluating job performance.
  • Communication within the department and with other department heads.

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • This is a full-time year-round position, with full benefits, golf privileges (complimentary round per week and Driving Range usage) and an hourly wage of $33-$35.
