VIGSA Scholarship - Dave Creamer Memorial Bursary
The Dave Creamer Memorial Bursary Fund was established in 2010 in recognition of long time V.I.G.S.A. member Dave Creamer who passed away suddenly in May of 2009. Dave’s benevolence and dedication to the golf industry overflowed into his community where he and his wife Patti have run very successful hockey and skating programs for kids of all ages.
Due to the legacy that the Creamer family established in giving to the community of the Comox Valley, the members of VIGSA deemed it appropriate to establish some form of scholarship fund that would be of benefit to all VIGSA members and their families.
Over the years, among other fundraising efforts, an annual hockey game and golf tournament is held where fellow peers of the golf course industry participate in honour of their past colleague and friend. All proceeds from these events go to support the Dave Creamer Memorial Bursary Fund.
The generous support of the contributors to this fund has made it possible for V.I.G.S.A. to award a bursary to a successful applicant to help financially in their educational pursuit.
The deadline for submission of applications is November 15th
